Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does paint-your-own-pottery work?

A: Click Here to learn about how our pottery painting and firing process works! No experience or artistic skill are required!

Q: How can I ensure a spot on the weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)?

A: The weekends are our busiest days out the week, we cannot guarantee open spots for walk-ins so we HIGHLY recommend to reserve your spot!

Q: What’s the Price Range?

A: There’s a $10 studio fee per painter PLUS the price of your ceramic (pieces starting at $15, averaging $25)

Q: Is there an age requirement/can babies and toddlers paint?

A: Color Me Mine is the perfect creative experience for all ages! We offer a variety of pottery catered to all age groups, and are happy to help stamp your little one’s hands/feet on a piece to create a beautiful keepsake!

Q: Are your paints non-toxic?

A: All of our paints are non-toxic and water based. When your painted piece is glazed & fired, it becomes food-safe, dishwasher safe and microwave safe.

Q: How long do I have to pick-up my item?

A: We hold all customer’s items for 30 days after your Pick-Up date (1 week from when you paint.) We will give you a “last call” reminder that your items are still with us before we discard (cannot receive refund if items are discarded.)

Q: If I bring items from another Color Me Mine, can I paint/glaze them at your studio?

A: Yes! For both painting and glazing a previously purchased item, we only charge a $10 studio fee to use our supplies!

Q: Can I bring my own pottery/creations to be fired at your studio?

A: Unfortunately we can only fire Color Me Mine pieces in our kilns.

Q: Can I bring drink/food/alcohol to the studio?

A: Drinks are always welcome (stay hydrated!) and we are always BYOB for your Date Nights, Friend’s Night Out, or Just For Fun! We do ask that you limit consumption of certain foods in the studio, as oils can interfere with the pottery and paint. Dry snacks are great, and just be sure to wash your hands before handling your pieces!

Q: Can I paint at home?

A: Of course! Learn more about our Pottery To-Go offerings Here

Q: Can I host a birthday party/special event at the studio?

A: Absolutely, we would love to have you! Learn how to book a private event Here
